MAISON DESCARTES AMSTERDAM

Located at Vijzelstraat 2 is the 17th and early 18th-century quadrangular Maison Descartes. Maison Descartes, better known as the former French embassy and Institut Français, was part of a selective sales tender by the French state in mid-June 2016.

Heembouw asked us to conduct a feasibility study in collaboration with a couple of private investors and architectural firm Nørd, to explore the transformation possibilities. This study was intended to support the submission of a financial purchase offer.
