Highest point celebration newly build DC Bleckmann
The highest point of the First Demonstrably Circular Fulfillment Center Bleckmann is a Fact!
On July 8, 2022, we celebrated this unique milestone with all our construction partners. The project, spanning approximately 46,237 sqm of GFA, is set to be completed by mid-March 2023.
Highest point
The highest point marks a key milestone in the Project Since the construction starts in January 2022, significant progress has been made, including groundworks, foundation, drainage, approximately 30% of the steel structure, and the first floors. With the highest point achieved, the focus will shift to completing the shell of the building. Following the completion of the shell (around mid-September), the fit-out phase will commence.
In addition to the main contractor VDR Construction Group , several other parties are involved in this development: Palazzo Architects, Studio Nico Wissing (landscape design), QBuz (structural engineer), Brand1heid (fire safety advisor), AKD (legal & tax advisor), Van Haaren Installations (M&E services), Op het Veld (electrical services), Firestop Holland (sprinkler systems), BBN (cost consultant), LOIS Advies (BREEAM Expert & Circularity Assessor), and Subvention (circular subsidy advisor).
Demonstrably circular
A key feature of the Project is its demonstrably circular nature. How do we make circularity demonstrable and measurable? We do this based on the following KPIs:
- Materials Circularity Index (MCI)
- Deconstructability Index (LI)
- Environmental Performance of Buildings (MPG)
- Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCA)
- CO2 footprint
- BENG score
